Audit & consultation

A direct look at how AI sees your ryokan

The mini-course is free and self-guided — start there if you'd like to learn the method yourself. If you'd rather I look at your own property, I take on a small number of audits and consultations: I read the traces AI assembles your ryokan from, show where the answer goes wrong, and walk through what to fix first. Write a few lines below — your ryokan and what you'd like to understand — and I'll reply about whether an audit or a short consultation is the right fit.

Tell me about your ryokan and what you'd like help with — a strange AI answer, a listing that reads wrong, or a general audit of how the property looks to AI. A link to your site or booking page, and one or two example answers, help me reply with specifics rather than generalities.

Common questions

Is the course free?

Yes, the course is free. I made it as a learning resource for owners of family-run ryokans who need to work through AI visibility without pressure, before booking a consultation.

Is there a certificate after completion?

No. This is a free learning course with no formal assessment, so I do not create a document that looks more important than the actual work with the ryokan’s materials.

How should I read the lectures?

I recommend going in order, because the course is built as a path from the structure of an AI answer to your own digital trace map. If you already have a specific problem, you can open the relevant topic separately and then return to the neighboring lectures.

Do I need to take the tests?

The tests are only for self-checking. I do not see your answers or grade them; the point of a test is to spot the place where a term sounds clear when you hear it but does not yet work on your property’s material.

What should I do if part of the course is unclear?

Use the form and include the lecture, the exercise fragment, and the place where the confusion appeared. I usually answer with an example: I unpack which trace may have confused the model and how to check it by hand.

Which languages is the course available in?

This version of the course is written in English. The examples are tied to the Japanese ryokan market, so the exercises may include Japanese names, lodging categories, and details of seasonal routes.

Can I use the course if I do not own a ryokan?

Yes, if you have a small-scale lodging property with an uneven digital trace: a guesthouse, a family-run inn, a property by a hot spring, or seasonal lodging. Some examples will feel very Japanese, but the method for observing an AI answer will remain useful.

Not sure where your ryokan loses the AI answer?

Send a few details and an example answer, and I'll tell you whether an audit or a short consultation fits — or point you to the right lecture if the free course already covers it.
